The first renewed TenneT TSO high-voltage substation. Power on!
Today we celebrated the commissioning of the first renewed TenneT TSO BV high-voltage substation in Rijssen. A special moment in which the first Proof of Concept station became a fact.
Thanks to a unique and innovative building principle in which standardization, modular construction and digitization are central, we have worked hard in collaboration with TenneT and partners over the past year to achieve this.
TenneT project leader Luuk Pastoor says: ‘In fact, together with the contractor, we did product development in a project environment, in which many internal and external stakeholders are involved. This has regularly caused enormous challenges and stressful moments, both for the contractor and within the TenneT organisation. I am therefore very proud that we now have a working station in use.’
It was indeed a challenging process, with ups and downs but we fixed it and we are proud of that. Thanks to everyone who made this possible!
