Strukton agrees to sell Grid Solutions activities to SPIE

Strukton Groep and SPIE have reached agreement about the planned sale of the Grid Solutions activities from Strukton Systems (part of Strukton Power) to SPIE.

The planned transaction concerns new construction, expansion and renovation of high-voltage substations and medium-voltage systems, and service and maintenance activities for mainly regional and national grid operators.

More than 100 employees, both in employment at Strukton and from employment agencies, will be transferred to SPIE as part of the planned transaction. Strukton’s central works council is involved in this planned sale and has delivered a favourable opinion. Subject to agreement with third parties, the transaction is expected to take place in December, 2023.

To Strukton, the sale is a logical step in the increased strategic focus on sustainable infrastructure related to railways.
