‘I do many different things, at different places and as part of different teams.’

Working here was fun at the time and it still is. We develop drivetrains and electric converters for storing energy. This is unique and is not done anywhere else in the Netherlands.’
‘Something else that is unique is that we develop everything ourselves here, from A to Z. This makes it very challenging and you also are given a great deal of freedom in your work. We are now working on a container for energy storage, a battery system for a locomotive. We aim to make these available for stationary use as well, for example in residential districts or at construction sites. Of course the energy transition is a hot topic right now. The nice thing is that this is still a very open domain and many things still need to happen.’
‘I am part of the Product Development group. My focus is primarily on controlling systems. This means that I am working on how we expect a certain installation to behave. We genuinely engage in team work here. Many different people of different ages. You learn lots this way. What binds us is that we are all fascinated by engineering. What could be better than brainstorming a certain problem with a small group and working on technical issues together?’
‘I have been here for some time, but I can well imagine that Strukton Power will continue to captivate me for a much longer period of time. As long as there is room to continue to develop myself and develop new things, things that did not yet exist up until that time, I continue to be highly motivated.
