Electrical engineer (Alblasserdam)
WE: STRUKTON POWER. SYSTEM INTEGRATOR. THINK OF HIGH VOLTAGE, SUPPLYING SOLAR AND WIND ENERGY BACK TO THE GRID. HYDROGEN AND BATTERY-POWERED TRAINS. AND MUCH MORE. IF YOU CAN THINK IT, WE CAN BUILD IT.
YOU: SELF-MOTIVATED PROFESSIONAL. UNDERSTANDS THAT THE FLIPSIDE OF FREEDOM IS RESPONSIBILITY. AND VICE VERSA. ALSO UNDERSTANDS THAT A COMPANY CAN ONLY BE LEADING WHEN ITS EMPLOYEES ARE LEADING. YOU SEE YOURSELF IN THIS. YOU HAVE FAITH IN AND RELY ON ALL THE OTHER STRUKTON POWER TOP COLLEAGUES.
YOU ARE READY FOR THIS AND YOU ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO IT.
STRUKTON POWER. LET’S GO.
What you're going to do
As an electrical engineering engineer, you will be responsible for parts of the design process for the construction of high-voltage stations. Together with a group of enthusiastic colleagues, you ensure that, using the latest engineering tools, the design packages of complete high-voltage stations are delivered ready for implementation.
We work for various customers within the Dutch electricity network for both transport and distribution. That’s why no day will be the same for you.
As an electrical engineer you are a member of a specialized team. Think of teams for primary, secondary and/or tertiary installations.
There is a teams meeting every week in which the activities are coordinated in outline. Because you usually work on different work packages for projects at the same time, current priorities are assessed and discussed on a weekly basis. Your own input and your own responsibility play an important role in this.
Within a project, the Lead Engineer is responsible for monitoring quality and progress. You agree with the Lead Engineer which work packages you will pick up and when you will deliver them. You are often involved in all (engineering) phases of the project: from system, detail, implementation design to as built.
The engineering process is based on the principles of Systems Engineering. This means that you work from sets of requirements and that verification and validation are important aspects in your work. In addition, you work according to a standardized quality system and on the basis of a number of standard designs developed by Strukton.
Finally, you contribute to knowledge development and standardization by participating in knowledge teams and/or standardization initiatives and there is a lot of room for personal development by following training courses, education and experience programs.
Our organisation
Strukton Power is the youngest division of Strukton Groep, created from the merger of various (international) business units. A strategic reorientation on the energy transition has recently paved the way to bring together a unique combination of knowledge and skills to create unique modular High Tech end-to-end solutions and propositions for our (inter)national customers.
What we expect from you
Knowledge and experience? Very important, of course. But we are especially curious about who you are and what drives you. Because you continue to develop. And we will continue to support that.
For this role we expect you to bring at least this:
– A completed Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering
– Minimum 1-2 years work experience, preferably in high voltage systems.
– A real team player
– Someone who is always focused on quality and results and knows how to keep an overview.
What you can expect from us
A professional working environment in an organization bursting with ambition. Where initiative and ambition are valued and rewarded. A people company, where you are there for each other. Where you tell each other the truth. And where there is also a lot of laughter. And besides:
– Free time: 38 days off. If this is not enough, you can always buy more days off.
– Development opportunities: your ambition is very important at Strukton Power.
– A good salary: between €3,500 and €4,500. Depends on the experience you bring.
– Flexibility: the possibility to organize your work and your working hours yourself.
