‘Office work is not my cup of tea.’

‘After I completed my Institute of Technology studies in electrical engineering, I was first employed as work planner with a road construction company and after that by yet another company. At the time I thought I had to be employed in an office job because I had obtained a University of Applied Sciences (HBO) degree. But I soon discovered that office work is not my cup of tea. This is when I ended up with another company where I worked on maintenance. This required me to get my hands dirty and that’s what I really like. But at a certain point in time I had done everything there was to do, and things became repetitive. I need change if I am to keep enjoying what I am doing. I get bored rather easily. This is when I ended up at Strukton Power. That was seven years ago, and here I am totally in my element.’
